If you want to discover what makes New Zeland fauna and flora unique, join the Family Forest Workshop. You will learn in a fun, safe, creative and interactive way.
The workshop focuses on using all of your senses, providing a great chance for children to build confidence and for all of you to experience the forest in a new light. A wide range of activities are woven throughout the day and are linked to the forest’s ecology.

You don't need to be an artist to take part in an Art Workshop. The tutors will spend time with you and share their passion while helping you make something unique.

Most workshop participants are amazed to see what they have created.

There is a wide variety of possible creative endeavours:
You can create a small painting from the inspiration of native New Zealand bush or our local landscape, make your own hand-forged knife, learn to make silver jewellery or a "pounamu"(green stone) carving, design your own travel journal, work with clay, paper, wood, fused glass...

Creative Tourism in New Zealand offers a variety of hands-on creative workshops that give the visitors an insight into New Zealand Culture.

They cover Maori Culture, Art, Taste and Nature.

If you want to spend some time with a Moari Tutor and learn how to create a bone carving, you can join, John the bone dude for a few hours of fun and creativity.

Or let yourself be guided in the magnificent Pureora Forest Park. You will hear stories of the Maori people and how they utilised the forest resources in their daily lives. You will learn to weave a Taonga (special gift) and to "Hongi" (traditional Maori greeting/farewell).
